Trump to Clamp down on Countries who overstay visa includes Nigeria
US President Donald Trump and his aides are weighing rules put in place to clamp down on countries whose nationals overstay short-term visitor visas.
The effort would target countries whose national overstay their visas e.g Nigeria, Chad, Eritrea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
The move will put those countries “on notice.” The new rule would also tell the countries’ governments that if their citizens continue to overstay their visa, then future visas could be shorter or harder to get. Nationals from such countries with high overstay rates could be barred entirely.
