NigeriaDecides2019: INEC Declares President Mohammed Buhari Winner Of The 2019 Presidential Election

The Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC), officially declare the incumbent and candidate of the APC in the 2019 presidential election as the winner of the 2019 presidential election which took place on the postponed date of February 23rd, 2019. This declaration was made on the 27th of February, 2019 at 4:38am.

President Buhari got 15,191,847 while main rival from the opposition party PDP got 11,262,978 meaning the incumbent president won the election with a margin of 3,928,869.



President Buahri assumed office in May 29,2015 after defeating the then president Goodluck Jonathan.

Despite minor skermishes during this election, the election has been adjudged to be free and fair according to various independent local and foreign observers.
