Background
Mr Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an undercover journalist who played an instrumental role in the recent expose in African football was shot dead on Wednesday while on his way home.
His death has generated uproar in Ghana, especially because in the heat of the expose last June, a politician with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) called for him to be beaten up.
According to reports, Ahmed who works with controversial undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, was shot in the chest by unidentified men on motorbikes in Madina, a suburb of Accra.
He was a member of Tiger Eye Private Investigations and had investigated corruption in Ghana's football leagues.
The undercover report on cash gifts led to a lifetime ban for the former head of Ghana's Football Association.
