Former US President Barack Obama on Wednesday surprised young patients and their families at the Children’s National Medical Center, the hospital Michelle Obama visited annually during her tenure as the first lady.

 

Obama dressed seemingly similar to Santa carried a Santa sack loaded with gifts, went door-to-door and met several members of the staff and children during his almost two-hour visit.

The former president and father of two shared his delight on Twitter after the visit to the hospital, he posted;

"Merry Christmas and happy holidays to the extraordinary kids, families, and staff at Children’s National. And thanks for humoring me as your stand-in Santa."
