Olamide has been condemned for encouraging blood money and internet fraud

Folowing the severe backlash Lil Kesh and Olamide have received for releasing ‘Logo Benz’, a song some Nigerians have described as glorifying money ritual, fans of the latter have threatened to boycott his upcoming concert, Olamide Live in Concert (OLIC).
They argue that the song encourages people to make money through illegal means such as Yahoo-Yahoo and blood money.
“If money no enter, I go do blood money” – that is one of the lines in the song which has infuriated some fans who are now amplifying their disappointment in the two artiste by instigating a protest action.
Already, ritual killings, corruption, armed robbery and several other unacceptable means of making money have become the banes of the country and the least citizens expected was influential musicians coming together on a song that presents these acts as options for acquiring wealth.

But reacting to the controversy the song has ignited, Lil Kesh, the artiste who collaborated with Olamide on ‘Logo Benz’ has mounted a spirited defence for the lyrics of the song saying, they are stating the obvious fact.
Lil Kesh who seems unfazed about the flaks of criticisms in a tweet said: “If money no enter I go do blood money o, talk your own. We no dey promote wetin no dey exist na awareness we dey do so spread your pata at owner’s risk because won ka pata o.”
To correct their negative notions, Olamide also took to social media to explain that the song was only to create awareness about the things prevalent in the society.
Apparently, some of his fans are not satisfied with his explanation and a number of people have taken to their handles to call for the boycott of the singer’s upcoming show, Olamide Live In Concert (OLIC).
Here are some of the reactions below.
Falz “This is Nigeria”
TuFace “E Be Like Say”
Reminisce “Ponmile”
Lagbaja “Suuru Lere”
ModeNine “Cry”
9ice ft Asa - "Pete Pete"

Those are examples of some songs that create awareness on societal problems without celebrating it or making it look cool.

I heard about Olamide and Lil Kesh’s Logo Benz song and decided to listen.
Couldn't even finish doing so because I was disgusted, but even more disturbed that they would trivialize or should I say OK the idea of using female underwear for money rituals. It's sickening.

Olamide was featured in a song promoting/commending ritual killings for money and will be hosting OLIC. Just imagine the sets of people that would be there. If you're adamant on going, just leave your pants and destiny at home.

Olamide's lyrics on Logo Benz with Lil Kesh won't affect OLIC because his target audience isn't on Twitter. That doesn't mean people don't have a reason to be outraged by a song that promotes Blood Money or means they hate him. Ritual is evil/cruel, that's why this is attrocious.

First Olamide promoted rape culture with Story for the gods,
then drugs with Science Students, then advance fee fraud with
Poverty die. Now it's ritual killings with Logo Benz, but people
will still go and cheer him on at OLIC. I've never been more
ashamed to be Nigerian.
