“For us Italians, the lure of going home is strong'' -- Sarri hint of leaving Chelsea for Juventus
Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has dropped the biggest hint yet that he could be set to take over as Juventus manager this summer.
Sarri is believed to be departing Stamford Bridge after only one season, with Juve agreeing to buy out the final year of his £5million deal.
The Serie A champions have identified Sarri as Massimiliano Allegri’s replacement.
Despite leading Chelsea to the Europa League title, Sarri insists that it has been a “heavy year” and admits he could be tempted to return to Italy.
“For us Italians, the lure of going home is strong.
“You feel that something is missing. It was a heavy year. I began to feel the weight of distant friends, my elderly parents who I rarely see,” he told Vanity Fair.
