Place N200m Ransom Price Placed On Captured NYSC Member by Kidnappers
Rays of hope have started shining on the likely release of members of the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) who were kidnapped two weeks ago by the notorious Boko Haram insurgents as the heartless group has now made contacts with the family and church of the captives with a demand for a ransom before their release.
Recall that gunmen suspected to be members of the Boko Haram had kidnapped a member of the National Youth Service Corps, Ibrahim Amuta and three other members of the church on their way to Chibok to distribute relief items to the internally displaced persons with intention to spread the gospel the camp inmates.
A housemate of the captured corps member, Success Ezeanya, whose tweet about the abduction went viral on Saturday, reported that he was told by a member of Amuta’s church that the insurgents had demanded N200m before they could release those they kidnapped.
Although another source has hinted that the Boko Haram gang had demanded N100m ransom, Ezeanya insisted that Amuta’s family members were in regular communication with the church and well updated on developments with their son.
