Military Talks Tough on bandits and Kidnappers in Zamfara
Operations Sharan Daji and Harbin Kunama, two components of the Nigerian military, said they have sent a red signal to armed bandits and notorious kidnappers operating in Zamfara State to pack and leave the state before they get apprehended.
Speaking with DAILY POST in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital, the Force information officer, Major Clement Abiade said that nobody is above the laws of the land, stressing that the military was set to expose any culprit found in the unholy business.
“The world’s attention is now focused on Zamfara state especially and we are not ready to tolerate any nonsense from anybody anymore, ” he said.
Abiade said the time has come to let armed bandits and kidnappers know that they are not above the laws of the land, pointing out that even the sponsors of armed bandits and kidnappers must face the wrath of the law unless the court proves them innocent.
“We are in a democratic dispensation where the government is the government of the people by the people for the people,” he added.
In a related development, the state police command has assured that no criminal element would go scot free as far as the police are concerned, saying that the police would battle any criminal on operation fire for fire.
This, however, was revealed by the state police public relations officer (PPRO), SP Mohammed Shehu, in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital.
