Zidane sign Eder Militao after Real Madrid return

New Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane is back with a bang as he signs Porto defender, Eder Militao.

Militao will arrive in the summer for a sum of £43million in a six-year contract .

But finally, at the end of the day Real have won the race for the highly-rated stopper.

Militao, 21, has been present on Los Blancos’ shortlist for some time with English giants, Liverpool and Manchester United also showing interest in him.

In a statement on Real Madrid’s website, the club said: “Eder Gabriel Militao is a new Real Madrid player until 2025.

“He comes from Porto, where in his first season he has become one of the main protagonists of the Portuguese League.

“He has been named the best defender of the championship for five consecutive months.

“A multi-purpose player, Militao plays central, although he has also occupied the right-back position.

“He stands out for his speed, positioning and ability to anticipate danger. In addition, he has a good aerial game.”

Militao only arrived at Porto from Sao Paulo in Serie A last summer.

He penned a five-year contract and has scored three goals in 33 games in all competitions so far this term.
