Manhunt Launched in the Killings Of Birmingham Teenagers
A manhunt has been launched for the killers of a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in Birmingham.
The teenager was discovered with fatal injuries in Small Heath on Wednesday night, West Midlands Police said.
The boy had suffered serious stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another 15-year-old boy was treated by paramedics after he was assaulted and suffered minor injuries, the force added.”A teenager has sadly lost his life and another was assaulted,” said Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster, from the force’s homicide team. “We are working hard to establish the circumstances around what happened.”The attack is one of at least seven incidence of violent crime in the past week around city which has seen three deaths and four people suffer serious injuries.
“[The stabbing] has shocked everybody. It’s such a big problem in Birmingham, for the last two or three years, it’s happening every day,” a local shop owner told Birmingham Live.Police have said a cordon is in place while inquiries are carried out in the area.
The force are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
