Chelsea Players tell Sarri to Stop Depending on one Player after 4-0 defeat at Bournemouth
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho
Chelsea players have told manager Maurizio Sarri to drop Jorginho.
There is a feeling within the Blues dressing room, that Sarri has become too dependent on Jorginho, after the Italian was picked apart once again by Bournemouth.
The West London club suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat on Wednesday, their biggest Premier League loss of the Roman Abramovich era.
Sarri locked the players in the dressing room for 50 minutes afterwards and was keen to get feedback from his players about what went wrong.
According to the UK Telegraph, it was suggested that the team’s style is too reliant on Jorginho.
The former Napoli playmaker followed his manager to Chelsea in the summer in a £50million deal and has displaced N’Golo Kante at the base of midfield.
However, Jorginho has been targeted by a host of teams, with Gylfi Sigurdsson stifling him in a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge.
Dele Alli did the same a few days later for Spurs, while David Brooks performed that role on Wednesday night.
