70% of African footballers use Juju – Osaze Odemwingie

Former Super Eagles player, Osaze Odemwingie has stated that 70% of African footballers use juju. He made this known while recounting his past experience.

Osaze Odemwingie recounted how he was taken to a native doctor instead of a medical doctor when he sustained an injury on his hand.

According to him, it isn’t a rare thing to patronize such among his colleagues.

He said:

“Just at least 70% of players believe in it. They think that some kind of salve will save them. This is more suggestion. Brainwashing goes. But three years in Nigeria have been helpful to me. They called me to the big league, and there my career developed much faster.”
