Burna Boy and Wizkid are in Ghana

Two of Nigeria’s biggest acts, Burna Boy and Wizkid have jetted off to Ghana for a vacation having had an eventful 2018.

Pictures and videos on Wizkid’s Instagram page suggest both musicians are enjoying themselves in the West African country.

Last year, Burna Boy and Wizkid made significant impacts and received recognitions in that regard.

Wizkid, for instance made headlines with his ‘Soco’ song as it garnered millions of views, making it the most viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube. The song also topped MTV Base’s 20 Hottest Naija Songs of 2018 list.

He also secured three spots in Google’s list of Top Most Searched Songs of 2018 as his songs, ‘Fever’, ‘Manya’ and ‘Soco’ placed 1st, 8th and 9th respectively.

He won several awards and performed at major events which were all sold out.

Wizkid joined the list of the world’s highest paid artistes after he was paid 50 million Indian Rupees ($681,200; N245.9 million) for his performance at a royal wedding.

On his part, Burna Boy won several awards including African Artiste of the Year, Best Male MVP, Song of the Year and Listener’s Choice at the 2019 SoundCity MVP Awards Festival.

He also received accolades for selling out several concerts and found himself at the first position of Apple Music’s Top 100 Albums of 2018 with 'Outside'.

Not only that. Burna Boy’s ‘Ye’ went into history as one of the biggest songs released in 2018.
