Gatwick suspends flights after another 'drone sighting'

Gatwick Airport has suspended flights in and out of its airfield again after unconfirmed reports of a drone sighting.

It comes after more than 100,000 Christmas travellers were affected when hundreds of flights were grounded from Wednesday night to early on Friday.

Officers still do not know who was behind the disruption.
A Gatwick Airport spokeswoman said: "We have currently suspended airfield operations as a precaution due to a suspected drone sighting."

Military equipment was deployed to stop further drone chaos before the latest unconfirmed sighting.
